Janice Faye Colquitt

COLQUITT, Ms. Janice Faye, 70, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Funeral services for Ms. Colquitt will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 20, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Sowell and Rev. Huey Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Brantley Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Ms. Colquitt was preceded in death by her father, Dick Colquitt, mother, Addie Ree Atwell Colquitt, stepmother, Wilma Colquitt, and three brothers, Dickey Colquitt, Jimmy Colquitt, and Billy Wayne Knighten. She is survived by three brothers, Jerry (Linda) Colquitt, Junebug (Patricia) Colquitt, and Ricky (Christy) Colquitt, ten nieces and nephews, Jason (Laura) Colquitt, Kelly (Stephen) Hauck, Shannon Colquitt, Lynn (Scott) Miller, Tracey (Chris) Layton, Justin Colquitt, Nikki (Tony) Dozier, Katie (Jonas) Morgan, Reed Ledford, and Preslee Reeder, thirteen great-nieces and nephews, and several special friends and family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Walker and Sandy, Dr. Patrick Walker, Crenshaw Community Hospital, Brother Sam and Laura Tate, Brother Derek and Stephanie Sowell, and Faith Walk Ministries for their loving care and support. Active pallbearers will be Chris Layton, Scott Miller, Jason Colquitt, Jonas Morgan, Justin Colquitt, David Campbell, and Karl Eiland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 – 2pm.
