BOWEN, Mrs. Jannene Johnson, age 68, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Monday, February 1, 2016 in Union Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in Panola Baptist Church with Turner Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Bowen was preceded in death by her grandson, Austin Shows, father, William C. Johnson, mother, Alice P. Knuckles, brother, Paul Klawitter, and an infant twin sister. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Arthur B. "Artie" Bowen, four children, Lisa M. (Richard) Shows, Tommy Bowen, Keith A. (Amy) Bowen, and Brian Bowen, sixteen grandchildren, two brothers, Gordan Klawitter and Gary L. Klawitter, and numerous nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Alex Bowen, Matthew Holmes, Joey Godwin, Richard Shows, Guy Simmons, and Gary Simmons. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. They will receive friends at the church on Monday from 12:30pm until service time.
