Jeanette Alice Holliday

April 30, 1943 — August 11, 2021

Honoraville

Mrs. Jeanette Duffell Holliday, 78, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. A graveside service for Mrs. Holliday will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 13th, in Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joe Leverette officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Holliday was a woman who took immense pleasure in only the simple things in life. Her family was always her number one priority and she made sure they knew it. One of her greatest joys was preparing Sunday dinners for her family every single week. She especially enjoyed doting on her grandchildren, from cooking their favorite dishes to driving them wherever they wanted to go. She also took great pride in taking care of her yard and spending time with her beloved canine companion, Tom, until his passing only a few weeks ago. Her family will miss her so much, but they take comfort in knowing how happy she is now to be reunited with her husband in Heaven.

Mrs. Holliday was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Holliday; grandson, Blake Price; and parents, Amos & Lorraine Black Duffell. She is survived by her children, Anthony (Susan) Holliday and Karon (Randy) White; grandchildren, Courtney Holliday, Kellie-Rae Holliday (Mike Flint), Madison White, and Mason White; great-granddaughter, Olivia Jane Flint; sisters, Marjorie Beasley and Mary Ann Wilkes; and sister-in-law, Annette Butler.

Active pallbearers will be Robert McGough, Harold Nelson, Mike Flint, Michael Beasley, Steven Beasley, and Gary Beasley. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Peterson and Josh Roper.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to her caregivers Monica Smith, "Duck" Willis, and all of the staff from SouthernCare Hospice. They also request that any memorial donations be made to the Mt. Zion "Old Lodge" Cemetery, c/o Charles Gillion, 1017 Bowden Road, Honoraville, Alabama 36042.

Family and friends will meet in the cemetery at the service time.
