Jerry Lynn Morgan

Jerry Lynn Morgan, 64, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at Crenshaw Community Hospital on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024. No memorial service has been planned at this time.

Jerry was a proud member of the Brantley High School Class of 1978 where he was also a phenomenal athlete, especially on the football field. He later went into the logging business where he was a valued employee at Kennedy Logging for 31 years. Jerry was a private man who was the rare kind of individual who could always simply enjoy his own company in the peace and solitude of his home. However, he was never truly alone as he always found his joy in his canine companions over the years. His heart for his pets was truly the biggest and most special part of Jerry.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Spencer Neal Morgan and Louise Turner Morgan, and brother, Steven Wayne Morgan. He is survived by his loving son, Dusty Morgan; siblings, David (Bonnell) Morgan and Peggy (Jim) Himburg; mother of his son, Kathy Morgan; canine companions, Little Bit & Butch; and a host of extended family members and friends.
