Jesse Lamar Bolling Sr

Mr. Jesse Lamar Bolling Sr, 74, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 1, 2021. A graveside service for Mr. Bolling will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 3rd, in Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Dunford Cole officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Bolling was a hard-working man, spending over 25 years at Paragon Construction Company as a superintendent. In his free time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, like his Marlboro’s and Old Forester. On Saturdays in the fall, you could always find him cheering on his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide. Any other time in front of the TV was usually spent watching old Westerns that he loved so much. He also had a fondness for riding dirt roads and running his deer dogs while chatting with his buddies over their CB radios. Ultimately, Mr. Bolling was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He loved his family more than anything, and, though they will miss him terribly, they are comforted at his reunion with his beloved wife in the sweet hereafter.

Mr. Bolling was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Money Bolling; their daughter, Cynthia Bolling; his parents, Jesse “Paul” & Georgia Defee Bolling; and two siblings, Nell Gafford & Glen Bolling. He is survived by three children, Jesse Lamar “Rod” Bolling Jr (Cynthia Kay-Morris), Darren Ross “Hoss” Bolling, and Lesa (Joey) Johnson; four grandchildren, Joseph Errin (Mallie) Johnson, Nicholas Trey Johnson, Jesse Jacob Bolling, and Brandon Matthew Bolling; great-grandson, Emerson Ross Johnson; and his brother, Marvin Bolling.

Active pallbearers will be Jim Tranum, Keith Fowler, Keith Edward Fowler, Gary Shirley, Billy Ray Lester, and George Tranum. James Grayson will be an honorary pallbearer.

Friends and family will meet in the cemetery at the service time.
