Jesse Ray Schofield

Mr. Jesse Ray Schofield, 55, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019. Funeral services for Mr. Schofield will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, September 26, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Charles Sipper officiating. Interment will follow in Longs Chapel Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Schofield was a simple kind of man. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, and spent many an hour of his spare time fishing or hunting. He was beloved by all those who knew him, and there was nothing he loved more than his family and friends. That kind of love can never be replaced, and he will be sorely missed by all those he leaves behind.

Mr. Schofield was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Bradley Schofield. He is survived by his loving wife, Angel Watson Schofield; four children, Christi (Wayne) Smith, Joshua (Valerie) Schofield, Jesse Jr (Brandy) Schofield, and Tyler Schofield; four grandchildren, Brianna Schofield, Clayton Holland, Andrew Smith, and Connor Schofield; five siblings, Dale Pynes, Earnest Schofield, John Schofield, Sharron Williamson, and Ruby Free; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Kevin Hood, Kurt Bayman, Craig Wells, Williams Simmons, Clifton Wells, and Jason Arocho. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 - 8 PM.
