JOHNSON, Mr. Jessie Marvin, 94, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 2, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Gaines officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Vela Mae Powell Johnson, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his two children, Melanie Anne Johnson and Jeffrey Marvin Johnson, Sr., and grandson, Jeffrey Marvin Johnson, Jr. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Saturday at the service time.
