Jewel Bundrick Byrd

BYRD, Mrs. Jewel Bundrick, 74, a resident of Luverne died Friday September 21, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 3 PM at South Luverne Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Green, Rev. Steve DeFee and Rev. Jerry Hogwood. Interment will follow in the Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Byrd is preceded in death by her husband, James Walker Byrd; her parents, Myrtle Bryant Barfoot and Earl Bundrick; and four sisters, Myrtle Talley, Mildred Rigby, Emma Jean Matzke, and Mary Jane Bundrick. Survivors include seven children, Debra (Eddie) Little, Becky (Tim) Dickey, Diane (Andy) Tomlin, Lomax (Sally) Byrd, Brenda (Allen) Ryals, Kurt (Vanessa) Byrd, and Walker (Tammi) Byrd; twenty grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Andrew Tomlin, David Little, Timothy Tomlin, Weston Byrd, Dakota Byrd, and Gage Spivey. Honorary pallbearers will be Garret Fowler, Will Byrd, Dalton Byrd and Kurt Grimes. The family will receive friends at South Luverne Baptist Church on Saturday from 1:30 pm until service time.
