BARNES, Mrs. Jimmie Alice, 82, a resident of Luverne, AL, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Turner Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery (Bullock County, AL) with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Barnes; two sons, William R. Barnes and Jimmie Lamar Barnes; her daughter, Lucille Berneice Barnes; one great-granddaughter, Raegan Amellia Kelley; and a sister, Frances Whitley. She is survived by two children, Benjamin Barnes and Roberta McKinney; her granddaughter, Mary (Jonathan) Pearce; two great-grandsons, Wayne Pearce and Jake Kelley; two sisters, Margie Rowell and Betty Jo Whitley; and two brothers, Louis Edward Whitley and John W. Whitley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9 am until service time.
