COGGINS, Mr. Jimmy C., 80, a resident of Luverne died Friday July 12, 2013. Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday July 14, 2013 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. David Richburg officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ida Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Coggins was preceded in death by his parents, R.P. and Eva Helms Coggins and his sister, Frances C. Holliday. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Velma Raye Coggins; three children, Robert Larry (Janice) Coggins, Tina (Ernie) Bell and James Alan (Vicki) Coggins; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren;3 sisters, Ramona Porter, Sarah Isbell, and Mary C. Capps; and a brother, Robert Percy (Christine) Coggins, Jr.. Active pallbearers will be William Simmons, David Coggins, Ronnie Coggins, Buddy Broderway, Bobby Porter and Edward Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim White, Martin West, Buddy Williams and Ivan Langford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:30 pm until service time.
