Jimmy Carroll Gibson

GIBSON, Mr. Jimmy Carroll, 76, a resident of Rutledge died Sunday February 2, 2014. Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday February 6, 2014 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Gibson is preceded in death by his parents, B.B. “ Pat ” and Evelyn Henderson Gibson; a sister, Bonnie G. Claveria; and five brothers, Gerald Gibson, Hobson Gibson, Homer Gibson, Joe Bob Gibson and Ray Gibson. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, JoAnn Chuplis Gibson; two children, Derrick Gibson and Richard Gibson; a brother, Walter “ Mack” (Susan) Gibson; and his mother-in-law, Anna Chuplis. Active pallbearers will be Marty Claveria, Jeff Claveria, Lonnie Mitchell, Charles Johnson, Mack Gibson, and Richard Gibson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home of Wednesday from 6 pm until 8pm.
