Jo Greer

Ms. Sara Jo Greer, 82, a resident of Elba, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2019. A graveside service for Ms. Greer will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 15, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Dozier, Alabama with Rev. R. Steven Reneau officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Ms. Greer retired from the Civil Service at Ft. Rucker where she worked as a computer programmer. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. Aunt Jo was beloved by her nieces and nephews for her spitfire personality and constant entertainment.

Ms. Greer was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Luther and Vera Croft Greer, and five siblings, James A. Greer, Henry Howard Greer, Mary Foreman, Charles Greer, and Myra Ruth Campbell. She is survived by her sister, Helen (Buren) Jennings, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Keith Greer, Chance Turner, Chuck Jennings, Jimbo Campbell, Chuck Campbell, and Bubba Greer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12 - 1pm.
