JoAnn Wilson

JoAnn Price Wilson, 75, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Luverne Health & Rehabilitation on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, while surrounded by her family. A private memorial service will be held graveside at a later date.

JoAnn was a long-time resident of Crenshaw County and the surrounding area. She spent most of her professional career as a seamstress but she also enjoyed the people she was able to help with keeping up their homes over the years. No surprise there because her own home was always spotless no matter where she was or what was going on in her life. Acts of service were always her love language and there was no one she loved more than her precious grandchildren and her furbabies. Words cannot express how much she was loved, nor how much she will be missed, but she will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew and loved her.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her wonderful mother, Julia "Judy" Moses, and her stepfather, Cody Moses. She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Melissa & Frank Matarrese; grandchildren, Joshua David, Julianna Danielle, Charlsi Kathleen, and Carter Braxton; cherished great-grandchild, Colton Daniel; siblings, Mike Moses, Billy (Leah) Moses, and Susan (Anthony) Holliday; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
