Joe Dexter Flynn

FLYNN, Mr. Joe Dexter, 66, a resident of Rutledge, AL, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Rutledge Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Flynn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Joe M. Flynn and Mr. & Mrs. Dexter Martin. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Charlotte W. Flynn; two children, Ashley (Lee) Hester and Brock (Nola) Flynn; three grandchildren, Taylor Hester, Sawyer Flynn, and Riley Flynn; parents, Joe & Sue Flynn; and sister, Martha Karen (Garth) Brokaw. Active pallbearers will be David Best, Wren Ballard, Andrew Tomlin, Andy Tomlin, Guy Simmons, Mike Jones, and Ricky Weed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rutledge Cemetery Fund or one’s favorite charity. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 9am until service time.
