John F. "Bit" Wilkes, Sr.

WILKES, Mr. John F. “Bit”, Sr., 74, a resident of Brantley, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015. A memorial funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry Driggers officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Wilkes is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Compton Wilkes; two children, John F. (Lymari) Wilkes and Sirran Wilkes; five grandchildren, John Wilkes, III, Nicole Wilkes, Margo Wilkes,Morgan Andrews,and Jake A. Wilkes;one great grandchild; and his brother, Billy (Jerri) Wilkes. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 9 am until service time.
