John Hosea Butler

BUTLER, Mr. John Hosea, 88, a resident of Rutledge died Saturday January 12, 2013. Graveside services will be 11 am, Monday , January 14, 2013 at Rutledge Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Hogwood officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Butler proudly served as a Marine in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Caldwell Butler; a son, John A. Butler; and his parents, Reedy and Verbie Gibson Barrington. Survivors include two children, Diane Butler (Reb) Beck and George Wesley Butler; daughter-in-law, Sheila R. Butler; three grandchildren, Barry (April) Butler, Brad (Amber) Butler, and Bethany (Dave) Jackson; and four great grandchildren, Alli Butler, Brooke Butler, Barrington Butler, Jr. and John David Jackson. Family and friends will meet at the gravesite on Monday for the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations be made to one’s favorite charity.
