John Thomas James

JAMES, Mr. John Thomas, 76, a resident of Luverne, AL died Monday, February 28, 2011. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 10 AM from the Luverne Assembly of God with Rev. Steve Defee and Rev. Keith Price officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Level Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. James is preceded in death by his parents, C.S. & Mary James, and his sister, Ollie Mae Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty James; two children, Earl Kilcrease and Sammie Burgess; three grandchildren, Silenia Kilcrease, Sharon (David) Alford, and Christopher Burgess; and two great grandchildren, Emmalee Alford and Lacey Alford. Active pallbearers will be Willie Hilburn, Justin Bradley, Chris Burgess, James Kelley, Seth Davis, and David Rhodes. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Fillman and Jerry Sipper. The family will receive friends Thursday morning at the Church from 9 AM until service time.
