John David King, Jr.

KING, Mr. John David, Jr., 85, a resident of Goshen died Monday September 30, 2013. Graveside services will be 10 am Thursday October 3, 2013 at Darien Cemetery with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. King is preceded in death by his wife, Jane S. King; his parents, J.D. and Nellie Mathews King; two sisters, Myra Thompson and Carol Lois Thaggard; and a brother, Tommy King. Survivors include two children, Gina King (Danny) Lewis and John David King, III; four grandchildren, Richard Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Alex King and Morgan King; two great grandchildren, Trey Lewis and Troy Lewis; a brother, Franklin King; two sisters, Ovada Flowers and Madeline McGinty; and a number of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Mark McGinty, Wade McGinty, David McGinty, Tim Thaggard, Chris Thaggard, and Tim Wells. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 8:30am until 9:30am.
