Johnny Delward Kent, 45, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed way on Monday, September 21st, 2026, in Montgomery, Alabama. A graveside service for Johnny will be held at 2 PM on Monday, September 28th, in Black Rock Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing the service.

Johnny was rarely without a smile on his face and had a deep love for his family. He was especially close to his "MawMaw," who spent many years taking him to Cub Scouts, baseball games, and making memories with him along the way. Johnny had a good heart, loved being around the people he cared about, and was always happiest enjoying the good times with family and friends.

Johnny was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.E. and Joyce Kent. He is survived by his father, Ronnie Kent (Joan Mothershed); his mother, Mary McLeod Swedberg; siblings, Melissa Holland, Joey (Jaime) Holland, and Stanley House; nieces, Alexis Sizemore, Olivia Goebel, and Zoe Holland; nephews, Joe Yuma Jr., Roger Goebel, Ace Holland, Trent House, and Eric Goebel Jr.; aunts, Susan (Donald) Cox, Angela Hudson, Christian Sexton, Sherry Jeffcoat, Sharon Beasley, and Shelia (Jerry) Mills; uncles, Larry (Kim) Kent and Donnie Kent; and a host of extended family members and friends.
