Mrs. Joyce Mae Belliveau, 86, a resident of Andalusia, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Luverne Health & Rehabilitation on Sunday, July 24th, 2022.
Mrs. Belliveau was at the forefront of the emerging technological industry in this country, going to work for IBM in 1965 and remained there until 1978. In her personal life, she was known as a spunky firecracker with a generous heart. She was thoughtful and kind, but she expected (and received) the respect she was due. She was also a devoted Roman Catholic who leaned firmly on her faith. In her retirement, she enjoyed playing Bingo and indulging in her love of astronomy. She would spend many a night watching the stars, indulging in just the simple pleasures of life. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Belliveau was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Frederick Raymond; son, Mark Anthony Raymond; grandson, Brandon Howland; parents, Reginald & Myrtle Upham Belliveau; and sister, Maxine Belliveau. She is survived by her children, Michael Raymond, Julianne Howland, Cindy Bayrer, and Tina Smiley; grandchildren, Jessica Raymond, Serena Bales, Heidi Raymond, Anthony Raymond, Ben Howland, Brittany Christian, Heather O'Bryan, Elizabeth Myrick, Christopher Raymond, Shantae Raymond, Tabitha Raymond, Julie Smiley, and David Smiley; and twenty great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mrs. Belliveau will be held at a later time.
