BOOTHE, Mrs. Joyce Tidwell, 63, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Funeral services for Mrs. Boothe will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, August 2, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Defee officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Brother Pete Lee officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. Boothe was a loving mother and grandmother. She spent many years working at Pepsi of Luverne before moving to First Citizens Bank for several years. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Stevie Hunter Allen; parents, Roscoe and Ella Hall Tidwell; sister, Shirley Tidwell; and four brothers, Jimmy Tidwell, Sherman Tidwell, Donnie Tidwell, and Tony Tidwell. Mrs. Boothe is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, James “Jim” Boothe; two daughters, Jessica Boothe (Olaf) Frye and Virginia “Jennie” Boothe (Kevin) Allen; granddaughter, Ella Jordan Saunders; two sisters, Vickie Tidwell (Billy) Dobbs and Debbie Tidwell (Sam) Isaacs; five brothers, Cline (Sybil) Tidwell, Ronnie (Sherri) Tidwell, Aaron (Kathy) Tidwell, Mark (Sabrina) Tidwell, and Dale (Sissy) Tidwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Billy Brazell, Walter Dickey, John Dickey, Greg Dickey, Justin Arthur, and Logan Wallace. Ronnie Wallace, Danny Hall, Larry Free, and William Dobbs will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:30 - 3pm.
