Juanita Mount Mcgough

Ms. Nita Mount McGough, 67, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022. Funeral services for Ms. McGough will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 16th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Defee officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.

Nita had a smile that would light up the room and put a smile on others' faces when she would enter the room. She freely shared her passion for life with others and loved everyone without reservation. Nita loved her daily visits at the Crenshaw County Adult Daycare, and when she wasn't there, she had a pole in her hand with the hook in the water. Above all, Nita will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Ms. McGough was preceded in death by her son, Michael Rayborn; parents, J.C. & Bonnie Louise Bolling Mount; and siblings, Junior Mount, Jimmy Mount, Bobby Mount, Arnold Mount, Kenny Mount, Jerry Mount, and an infant sister. She is survived by her beloved sons & their spouses, David & Tyler McGough, Daryl & Shannon McGough, and Scottie & Brittany McGough; grandchildren, Tyler (Lorin) McGough, Trent (Sydney) McGough, Laken (Ryan) Jones, Kaitlyn (Jake) Jordan, Chandley McGough, Paisley McGough, Ryan McGough, Paige McGough, Kadee McGough, Hunter McGough, Caylee McGough, Regan Burrage, and Haley Burrage; great-grandchildren, Carter McGough, Addison McGough, Charlotte McGough, Wrenley Jordan, Brooks McGough, Mattie Leighton McGough, Rylen Jones, and River Jones; siblings, Sue (Dwight) Senn and Allen (Jacqueline) Mount; a host of nieces & nephews; and a special companion, Michael Lewis.

Active pallbearers will be Tyler McGough, Trent McGough, Ryan McGough, Jason Lewis, Jacob Lewis, and Jarrod Lewis.
