Mrs. Juanita King Murphy, 91, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2020. A graveside service for Mrs Murphy will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 13, in Liberty Cemetery in Dozier, Alabama, with Rev. Robert Foreman officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. Murphy worked her way up to floor manager at the textile factory where she spent most of her career. In her free time, she loved cooking and trying out new and favorite recipes. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she was the backbone of her family. She instilled in them her strong Christian values and they loved her just as fiercely as she loved them. They will miss her deeply every single day.
Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Murphy; their daughter, Susan Murphy Dearman; parents, Charlie Tom & Margiebell Warren King; and her sister, Ernestine Bell. She is survived by her granddaughter, Amber Palmer; great-grandson, Jake Riley Palmer; sister, Betty Hogg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Harold Dearman, Jake Palmer, Kenneth Deavers, Sammy Hogg, and Alan Currie.
Family and friends will meet in the cemetery at the service time
