WEST, Mrs. Juanita Patterson, 93, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Funeral services for Mrs. West will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 4, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. West was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent many years helping with the family farm and enjoyed tending to her roses. She also taught Sunday School at Glenwood Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis West; two children, Fleta West Money and Lewis Eldridge West; son-in-law, Joe D. Flynn; parents, E.J. and Lorena Davis Patterson; and her brother, Earl Patterson. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte West Flynn; daughter-in-law, Joy Stinson West; son-in-law, John Money; six grandchildren, Ashley (Lee) Hester, Judson (Julianne) West, Trina (Chris) Davis, Brock (Nola) Flynn, Jonathan (Laura) West, and Justin West; ten great-grandchildren, Taylor Flynn Hester, Jackson Williams West, Mary Hayden West, Hayes Everett West, Emmerson Joy West, Sydni Faith Bean, Joseph Sawyer Flynn, Riley Elizabeth Flynn, Ceciley Elizabeth West, and Vanna Eldridge West; and sister-in-law, Nell Patterson. Active pallbearers will be Judson West, Brock Flynn, Jonathan West, Justin West, Lee Hester, and Chris Davis. Taylor Hester, Jackson West, and Sawyer Flynn will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 - 10 AM.
