Ms. Ella Kate Holladay, 80, a resident of Luverne, Alabama and formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away in her home on Saturday, November 28, 2020.
Ms. Holladay lived a life full of new adventures. Through her jobs with Eastern Airlines, and later Continental, she was able to travel the world. She was a strong-willed and determined woman, which allowed her to stand on her own and succeed in the world as a single woman. She found joy in sharing her life with her canine companions over the years. She left an indelible impression on all who knew her, and she will live on in their memories.
Ms. Holladay was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton & Laura Golden Holladay; sister, Betty Sue Holladay McLaney; niece, Debra Sue Lambert; and nephew, Robert David McLaney. She is survived by her nephew, Mike (Elaine) McLaney; two great-nieces, Caitlin McLaney & Laura Beth Lambert; three great-nephews, Christopher McLaney, Robert D. McLaney II & Andrew Lambert; aunt, Annie Golden Brown; and numerous cousins and other extended family members & friends.
A graveside memorial service for Ms. Holladay will be held at 1 PM in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Father Chris Boutin officiating.
