Kathy Jo Fowler

Kathy Jo Fowler, 67, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Crenshaw Community Hospital on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025. A celebration of Kathy Jo's wonderful life will be held at a later date.

Kathy Jo had the perfect personality for her career in automotive sales because you would rarely ever meet anyone as outgoing as she was. Her bubbly and friendly personality was simply infectious because it was impossible to have a bad time around Kathy Jo! No matter what the situation, she was going to be the life of the party and keep you constantly entertained. Not only that, but you could also feel how much she truly cared about other people given the heart full of love for everyone she was blessed with. That heart certainly extended to all animals, especially dogs and cats...and particularly her own treasured canine companions, Tatum and Poopie.

She was an avid Auburn fan, especially when it came to football, and she also loved any chance she got to spend time in the great outdoors fishing or golfing. And, if there was anything you needed to know about what was going down in Brantley, your first call should always be to Kathy Jo and her trusty police scanner. She was guaranteed to know it all and was always quite willing to share her knowledge!! Obviously, she was such a special character and a true light in the lives of all those who knew and loved her beyond measure. She will be sorely missed by all of them, but the legacy of light and laughter she leaves behind is one we should all aspire to.

Kathy Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Horace & Wilma Taylor Fowler, and grandparents, James Edward & Ada Taylor and Marvin & Velma Fowler. She is survived by her beloved brother, Chris Fowler; uncles & aunts, Willie & June Taylor, Mickey & Joy Taylor, and Betty Taylor; special friend, Sherlyn Kelsoe; and numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Walker, Crenshaw Community Hospital, and their staffs for such excellent and tender care of Kathy Jo.
