SMSgt William Keith Witherington, 54, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at Baptist Medical Center South on Monday, May 25, 2020.
SMSgt Witherington proudly served his country for 25 years in the United States Air Force, deploying to the Middle East for the War on Terror up to eight times. After his retirement, he enjoyed his free time immensely including traveling, cooking, riding horses, and watching his favorite Westerns. He was a dedicated family man who loved nothing more than making special memories with them, especially his grandchildren. He had a way of drawing people to him with his wonderful sense of humor and gift of gab, never meeting a stranger. His loved ones will cherish all of their precious memories of him for the rest of their lives.
SMSgt Witherington was preceded in death by his wife, Ginny Marie Witherington, and his mother, Martha Ann Folmar Witherington. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Alvaran Witherington; three children, Jeremy Witherington, Shayna (Alex) Prescott, and Charlesea (Jessica Knighten) Witherington; five grandchildren, Grayson Witherington, Gavin Witherington, Tucker Prescott, Parker Witherington, and Tatum Prescott; his father, Robert J. Witherington; and his brother, Robert M. “Bobby” (Bonita) Witherington.
Active pallbearers will be David Hataway, Westley Witherington, Justin Witherington, Jesse Petty, James Webster, and Wesley Gibson.
