Kenneth Paul Helms

HELMS, Mr. Kenneth Paul, 68, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Funeral services for Mr. Helms will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 20, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Minister Danny Rolling and Rev. Clay Crum officiating. Interment will follow in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Helms devoted 38 years of his life to helping others as a social worker for the State of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Sanders Helms. Mr. Helms is survived by his wife of 40 years, Suzette Mason Helms, two sons, James Christopher (Leslie) Helms and Michael Clayton (Heather) Helms, five grandchildren, Haeden Helms, Hannah Helms, Hollan Helms, Sam Helms, and Charlie Helms, sister, Celia (Paul) Gardner, three brothers, Steve (Judy) Helms, Tony (Eva) Helms, and Joe Helms, and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Jarrett Mason, Walter Mason, Colby Carpenter, Jackson Holloway, Zeb Chandler, and Trey Lowery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 – 11 AM.
