Larcie Dean Desedare

Mrs. Larcie Mitchell Desedare, 68, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Saturday, June 4th, 2022. A graveside service for Mrs. Desedare will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 7th, in Ivy Creek Cemetery with Rev. Joey Elsky officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends in their home, 987 Daniel Branch Road, Highland Home, on Monday, June 6th, from 5 - 8 PM.

Mrs. Desedare dedicated her life to raising and nurturing her family in a loving home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who truly treasured her family as the best blessings in her life. In her free time, there were few things she adored more than tending to yard and garden of beautiful flowers. She also thoroughly enjoyed watching the horde of hummingbirds that frequented that yard as she fueled their love of sugared water better than anyone else! Mrs. Desedare had a beloved canine companion, Sissy, who was never far from her side. She and her husband frequently indulged their love of travel, be it out on the open water for a Caribbean cruise or a brief excursion to Biloxi. She was truly loved and cherished by all of her family and friends and will be sorely missed by every single one of them.

Mrs. Desedare was preceded in death by three precious grandchildren; her parents, Tommie & Pearlie Mae Burgans Mitchell; and all of her sibilings. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James Desedare Sr; their children, James Desedare Jr, Mary (John) Weaver, and Phillip (Vicki) Desedare; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Weaver, Matthew Desedare, Sly Weaver, Nathan Desedare, Chris Weaver, and Jamie Pearson. Bradly Zellers will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
