Larry C. Fuller, 69, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, December 12th, 2024. Funeral services for Larry will be held at 2 PM on Friday, December 13th, at Word of Faith Church with Rev. Keith Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill South Baptist Church Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service.
Larry was just a remarkable character through and through. After proudly serving his country with the United States Army and National Guard, Larry spent the rest of his working career as a truck driver. It was a perfect job for him as it allowed him to indulge in one of his favorite activities, traveling. Not only did he see much of the United States over the years, but he also traveled the world over for as long as he was able to do so. No matter where he went, you could bet that Larry made friends at every spot he ever visited. He just had that kind of lovable personality and his actual love for his fellow man so often shone through. His phenomenal sense of humor endeared him to everyone, and most people liked the fact that he didn't mince words or make you wonder where you stood with him. He was truly a beloved member of his family and his community and will be missed more than words could possibly express.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Clova Fuller; parents, Ralph & Iris Furr Fuller, and siblings, Marty Fuller, David Fuller, Patricia Baggett, Peggy Warrick, and Shirley Wilcox. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Simmons and Ashley (Matthew) Hurley; grandchildren, Kelsey Furr, Devin Furr, Anthony Strange, Isaiah Hurley, and Summer Hurley; great-grandchildren, Isabella Sessions and Emory Campbell; siblings, Shannon Fuller and Betty Fuller (Eldon) Wilson; dear, lifelong friend, Nancy Wicker; friends, Nathaniel "Pete" Robinson and Sherry Cataline; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Donnie Wicker, Shane Nelson, Nathaniel Robinson, Matthew Morgan, Charles Senn, and Aubrey Wolfe.
The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff of Aveanna Hospice for their loving care of Larry during his illness.
