Mr. Larry Eugene Hoffman, 76, a resident of Pike Road, Alabama and formerly of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Friday, September 25, 2020.
Mr. Hoffman was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved nothing more than spending time with the family he cherished. He was also a dedicated Christian, working as an elder at the church of Christ in Luverne and loved his church family there. He lived his life as an epitome to the value of hard work, as he worked his own farm and owned an excavation business. In his free time, he still loved being outdoors, from camping to fishing. He will be sorely missed by all of the loved ones he leaves behind, but they rejoice in the peace and comfort he has now found with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mr. Hoffman was preceded in death by his son, Scott Ashley Hoffman; parents, John L. & Sarah Stough Hoffman; and three siblings, Joan Hoffman Fleshman, John Ronald Hoffman, and Francis Laborn Hoffman. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo Moody Hoffman; their two children, Steven Michael (Donna) Hoffman and Jody Kaye (Joseph) Vickery; two adored grandchildren, Sarah Jean Hoffman and Joshua Maddox Vickery; two siblings, Judith Hoffman (Paul) Best and Robert Allan Hoffman; and numerous nieces & nephews.
The family will hold a private service at a later time.
