Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Over the years, he built a life centered around meaningful work and steady dedication. He worked for state government helping prepare for disaster relief, spent time in Alaska with NOAA setting up radio stations in the mountains to help ships navigate safely, and later served as an instructor for the United States Air Force.
Outside of his career, Larry was a master carpenter who enjoyed building furniture and working with his hands. He loved farming and gardening, and was known for staying busy. He was easygoing, good with people, and had a natural head for numbers. No matter the job, he took pride in doing it well.
He will be remembered as a steady presence, a hardworking man, and someone who found purpose in both his work and the simple things in life.
