Lee Sowell Haugh, 102, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Luverne Health and Rehabilitation on Saturday, March 8th, 2025. A celebration of Lee's blessed long life and legacy will be held at a later date
Born on August 1st, 1922 as the beloved child of John B. & Ophelia Patrick Sowell. She was preceded in death by her treasured husband, Frederick "Fritz" Haugh; her parents; and her siblings, John B. Sowell and Barbara Sowell Vinesett. She is survived by her nephews, Dr. John C. Sowell (DDS) of Greenwood, South Carolina and Luke Vinesett of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and nieces, Sally Sowell Howell of Kure Beach, South Carolina and Donna Pharr of Charlotte, North Carolina.
