Lela White Best

BEST, Mrs. Lela White, age 89, a resident of Highland Home, AL died Monday, June 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 11 AM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Greg Sexton and Elder Jerry Register officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Best was a lifelong resident of Highland Home and was employed for 27 years with Brockway Glass Co. of Montgomery. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Best; son, Terry Best; her parents, James & Lorene White; sister, Earmel Sexton; and brother, Hallie H. White. Mrs. Best is survived by her son, Ronnie Best; two grandchildren, Emmett T."Sonny" Best,II and Traci Christian; three great grandchildren, Matthew Christian, Kindall Best, and Blaine Best; and her sister, Ina Russell. Active pallbearers will be Edward Russell, Stan Sexton, Matthew Christian, Windell Sexton, Emmett Best, II, and Blaine Best. The family will receive friends at the Turner Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
