Lemerle Walker Carnes

CARNES, Mrs. LeMerle Walker, 90, a resident of Luverne died Friday February 1, 2013. Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Sunday February 3, 2013 at the Mt Ida Cemetery with Rev. W.O. Sanders officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Carnes is preceded in death by her husband, Ferrell Carnes; parents, Sim Tom and Clemmie Walker; a sister, Joyce Walker; and a brother, Lomax Walker. Survivors include two daughters, Sherry (Dale) Mitchell and Tammy (Ricky) Sims; six grandchildren, Allen (Christy) Hill, Matt (Vicki) Hill, Susan (Taylor) Upton, Richard Sims, Emily Sims and Hannah Sims; and four great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Scott Hudson, Alan Curry, Wilburn Mitchell, Donnie Bodiford, Paul Cox and Dave Nowling. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 pm until 2 pm.
