Lena Garner West

WEST, Mrs. Mary Lena Garner, 85, a resident of Luverne died Monday, April 14, 2014. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday April 19, 2014 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. William Leverette and Rev. Ronnie Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. West is preceded in death by her husband, J. B. “ Pete “ West; parents, A.J. and Jennie H. Garner; brother, James Edward “ Bud “ Garner; son-in-law, Terrel Williamson; and a great granddaughter, Kendra Wingard. Survivors include four children, Linda Williamson, Shirley (W.A.) Neal, Rita ( Buddy ) Wingard, and Martin (Anita ) West; eight grandchildren, Steve Williamson, Eric (Felicia) Williamson, Jeremy Messick, Larry (Shelly) Wingard, Timothy (Amber) Wingard, Jennifer (Nick) Chance, Amanda (Greg) Evans, and Andrew West; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Larry Wingard, Steve Williamson, Timothy Wingard, Jeremy Messick, Eric Williamson, Andrew West, Nick Chance, and Greg Evans. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6pm until 8pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations be made to Campground Cemetery, Emmaus Cemetery, or to one’s favorite charity.
