Lifford Nichols

NICHOLS, Oris Lifford “Perk”, 87, a resident of Luverne, Alabama died Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2 PM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Malcolm Butts officiating. Interment will follow in Darien Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Nichols is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Turner Nichols, his brother, John M. Nichols, and his parents, John D. and Victoria Nichols. He is survived by three children, Johnny (Julie) Nichols, Billy (Donna) Nichols, and Patsy (Wesley) Jeffcoat; four grandchildren, Ryan Nichols, Marianna (Nathan) Dunlap, Bradley (Heather) Jeffcoat, and Michael (Mindy) Jeffcoat; three great grandchildren, Braxton Jeffcoat, Maya Jeffcoat and Harper Dunlap; and one sister, Gladys (Charles) Sport. Active pallbearers will be Merrill Sport, John Sport, Jim Turner, Bobby Turner, Ronny Turner and Bill Norman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:30 pm until service time.
