Linda Duncan Joiner, 60, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at Crenshaw Community Hospital on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024. A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 29th, at Rock Hill Church of Christ.
Linda was a proud graduate of the Luverne High School Class of 1981, and spent most of her life around her beloved hometown. She was well known for her marvelous sense of humor and, with her spunky, firecracker personality, once you met her, you were guaranteed not to forget her! She was certainly one of a kind and had a special ability to get along with everyone she met. That spunk of hers definitely came in handy given that there was nothing she couldn't do once she set her mind to do it. Her loved ones were always excited to see her in the kitchen simply because she was a phenomenal cook so everything she ever made was just melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Why was everything she made so good, because every bit of it was made with love!! Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and "Big Mama" to her cherished grandchildren. Every single one of them thrived under her loving care and she was loved beyond measure in return.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James & Bessie Burnese Owens Duncan, and several siblings. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Joiner; children, Adam Duncan, Sabrina Stephens, and Salena Stephens; grandchildren, Haylee Duncan, Gracie Duncan, Myles Suddith, Talyla Suddith, Peyshonce Suddith, Nevaeh Hicks, and Sirinity Suddith; siblings, Joe Ray Owens, Judy Cartwright, Phyllis Oliver, Robert Duncan, and Gail Duncan; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
