Linda Sue Bolding Williams, 74, a resident of Brundidge, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, while surrounded by family. Funeral services for Linda will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 9th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Pastor James Glover officiating. She will then be laid to rest beside her husband in Weed Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
Linda was born to be a mother and a Nannie! There was nothing on this earth more precious to her than her children and grandchildren. Not only that, but her second favorite role was being an aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Her door was always open to any of the children she held closely in her heart, whether her own or her host of nieces & nephews. While she was extremely kind and loving with everyone, she was also blessed with a spine of steel...which came in handy with all of those kids! She was the rock her family was built upon because she was not only a safe harbor in the storms of their lives, but was also guaranteed to always have their backs whenever they needed her. They considered themselves blessed whenever Linda spent a little time in her kitchen where she whipped up some of the most delicious desserts you've ever tasted (her red velvet cakes were to die for), as well as the best gumbo you can find this side of Louisiana. In her free time, she loved to fish or sew beautiful creations back when she was able to do so. She also kept her mind active with various puzzle books that could entertain her for hours. Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt to a host of children whose lives were forever changed by her love and devotion.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Williams; parents, James E. & Eva McCarthy Bolding; and siblings, Rebecca Wilson, Eliga Bolding, Wilbert Bolding, Murtle Bolding, and Hoot Bolding. She is survived by her precious children, Patricia Diane Hart (Randell Glover) and James Adam Williams (Carol Boykin); grandchildren, Woodrow L. Hart Jr, Loreign Baker, and Miss Annaliese Rebekah Williams, who is currently on her way; special nieces and their families, Tina (Ronnie) Robbins, Alishia Brooks, Ashley Shirley, Lindsey Bailey, and Jasmine Merritt; and a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Robbins, Chris Bolding, Eric Glover, Randell Glover, Cody Robbins, Marquee Banks, and Dereke Whithurst.
