Mrs. Linnie Merle Frazier, 92, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Orchard Rehabilitation & Healthcare System in Hayneville on Saturday, February 19th, 2022. A graveside service for Mrs. Frazier will be held 2 PM on Wednesday, February 23rd, in Cool Springs Cemetery with Brother Stae Sanders officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Miss Linnie Merle spent her working career as a truly gifted seamstress in local textile factories. In fact, she was so good at what she did and enjoyed it so much, that she spent a good deal of her free time sewing children's clothes for both family and friends. She was also an excellent cook who always welcomed loved ones into her home with homemade dinners and sweets. In her free time, she loved to be on the go, whether it was to the beautiful beaches of the Gulf, camping with family, or enjoyed some of her favorite music at bluegrass festivals. However, her most-loved activity throughout the years was in attending many of the school functions of both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Obviously, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother during her lifetime, and she was the true rock of her family over the years. She will be so sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her, but they find comfort in knowing she has now been reunited with her loved ones who went on before her.
Miss Linnie Merle was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert R. Frazier Jr; their son, Ricky Frazier; grandson, Christopher Taylor; great-grandsons, Trotter Crowe and Andrew Brightwell; parents, Cecil & Fannie Mae Rogers Duncan; and siblings, Wilma Brown, Minnie Lee Hartin, Howard Duncan, and Edward Duncan. She is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara Frazier and Martha (Bobby) Brightwell; grandchildren, Michael (Paula) Brightwell and Michell (Knox) Crowe; great-grandchildren, Cole Brightwell, Cason Brightwell, Caleb Brightwell, Chance Brightwell, and Madeline Jane Crowe; and extended family, Casey Jane Cothran, Lexie Cothran, Eli Cothran, Emma Jane Cothran, and Vaida Cothran.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Brightwell, Cole Brightwell, Cason Brightwell, Knox Crowe, Kenny Wayne Frazier, and Bennett Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Brightwell, Chance Brightwell, Vernon Mason, and Bobby Brightwell.
The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to the staff of Orchard Health & Rehabilitation for their loving care of Mrs. Frazier.
Family and friends will meet in the cemetery at the service time.
