Lodell Talley

Lodell Walker Talley, 100, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27th, 2026, in her daughter's home and surrounded by her family. Funeral services for Lodell will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, November 1st, at Centenary Assembly of God with Rev. Tim Willis, Rev. Ervin C. Russell, and Dr. Robert Carter officiating. She will then be laid to rest next to the love of her life, John Talley, in the church cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing the services. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Lodell was preceded in death by beloved husband, John C. Talley Jr; parents, A.D. & Ilma Roberson Walker; and sister, Doris W. Schofield. She is survived by her treasured daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Timothy Pierce; grandchildren, Barrington (Aaron) Matthews & Tal (Melissa) Pierce; god-granddaughter, Danielle (Aaron) Hines; great-grandchildren, Noah Juliussen, Aiden Pierce, Peyton Juliussen, and Eli Pierce; and sister, Mildred Martin & Mary Morgan; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Noah Juliussen, Aiden Pierce, Peyton Juliussen, Joey Hester, Waller Martin, and Will Willis.
