Lucy Mcleod Williamson

WILLIAMSON, Mrs. Mattie Lucy McLeod, 100, of Goshen passed away early Wednesday morning November 2, 2011. She had been a resident of Luverne Health and Rehabilitation for the past 5 years. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday November 5, 2011 at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. William Leverette and Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Darien Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Williamson is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Williamson; son, Terrel Williamson; two sons-in-law, Howard Grayson and Pearson Goode; parents, Hiram and Mollie Holladay McLeod; and two brothers, Joe Calvin McLeod and Marx McLeod. Survivors include four children, John Travis Williamson of Goshen, Kate Grayson of Milton, Fl, Joyce (Cecil) Spear of Montgomery, and Judy Goode of Roanoke; daughter-in-law, Linda Williamson of Goshen; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Montez McLeod of Troy; and a several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 am until service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Goshen Methodist Church or one’s favorite charity.
