Lynda Merle Grayson

Mrs. Lynda Norris Grayson, 76, a resident of Glenwood, Alabama, passed away peacefully in Hartford, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Funeral services for Mrs. Grayson will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 6th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Grayson retired from Lockheed Martin where she worked as a missile technician for many years. She was also a longtime member of the Glenwood Assembly of God Church. She was an extremely outgoing person who simply loved spending her time with family and friends, the bigger the crowd, the better. She was skilled at all different kinds of games, and she also loved to go fishing and camping. One of her favorite activities was going on cruises around the Caribbean with her beloved husband, Horace. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who adored her family, and she will be sorely missed by all of them.

Mrs. Grayson was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Grayson, and her parents, David Daniel & Minnie Merle Childs Norris. She is survived by six children, Tammy (Sonny) King, Clayton Jordan, Starr Jordan, Leissa (Rick) Nazzareno, Leisha (Steve) Carr, and Pam (Ryan) Cross; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two siblings, Jerry (Judy) Norris and Mattie Lou Bynum; and a host of other family members and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Devin King, Douglas King, Tim Dickey, Raymond Sexton, Clayton Jordan, and Douglas Smith.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Colby from Kindred Hospice for his loving and tender care of Mrs. Grayson in her final days. They request that any memorial donations be made to Kindred Hospice in Dothan, Alabama.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 - 2 PM.
