Macie Madolyn Petty

PETTY, Mrs. Macie Madolyn Pruitt, 79, a resident of Lapine died Saturday March 3, 2012. Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday March 5, 2012 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. William Leverette and Rev. Clay Crum officiating. Interment will follow in Berea Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Petty is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Petty; infant daughter, Macie Jean Petty; and infant son, Tommie Harold Petty. Survivors include five children, Verline (Lonnie) Chesser, Mila (Melvin) Flowers, Cecil Petty and Lamar (Tammy) Petty, all of Lapine, and William Petty of Prattville; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and a special friend, Charles Lovett. Active pallbearers will be Tim Kelley, Glenn Flowers, Keith Furr, Stanley Boyd, Donnie McGough and Gary Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Tompkins, Bill Brown, Austin Wilson, William Powell and Jeffery Sexton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 pm until 8 pm. The body will lie-in-state at the church Monday for 30 minutes prior to service time.
