CAMPBELL, Mrs. Madeline Walker, 94, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Funeral services for Mrs. Campbell will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 30, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Danny Rolling, Rev. Dunford Cole, and Rev. Bob Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in Darien Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Rheo M. Campbell, daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Campbell, three grandsons, James Maurice Tomlin, Rheo Scott Campbell, and Matthew Ryan Curtis, parents, Felix Ervin and Lola Hogan Walker, four sisters, Jewel Loard, Cubie Kennedy, Una Harrison, and Kate Roberts, and brother, Theral Walker. She is survived by her six children, Penny (Max) Tate, Priscilla (Joe) Johnson, Kathryn (Lomax) Tomlin, Melissa (Dan) Curtis, Rhea (Ted) Bullock, and Jimbo Campbell, fourteen grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Ben (Doris) Edwards, and numerous nieces and nephews, including three special nieces, Anita Kennedy Ellis, Una Harrison Beck, and Edith Loard King. Active pallbearers will be Joey Johnson, Jamie Johnson, Brian Tate, Scott Franklin, Michael Curtis, Chad McElreath, Allen Luckie, Mark Perdue, and Kyle Richburg. The family requests that any memorial donations be made either to the Darien Cemetery Fund, c/o Anita West, 509 New Harmony Road, Luverne, Alabama 36049 or one’s favorite charity. They will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 – 2pm.
