Mrs. Margaret Eloise Price McCraine, 70, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Bethany House in Auburn, following a stroke. A graveside service for Mrs. McCraine will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 25th, in Zoar Cemetery with Brenda Johnson delivering the eulogy and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. McCraine was the kind of person who always looked out for others. That could be reflected in her many years of service as a school crossing guard and bus driver. She counted as one of her many blessings, her best friend, Tommie McCraine, for introducing her to the love of her life, her husband, James McCraine. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved nothing more than her family (which always included the four-legged ones too). In her free time, she loved to travel and, on Saturdays in the fall, she enjoyed cheering on her favorite team, the Alabama Crimson Tide. She was dearly cherished by her family, and they will miss her more than words can express, but they rejoice that she is now reunited with her husband in the hereafter.
Mrs. McCraine was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Milton McCraine Jr; her parents, Arkie Jason & Earlene Edgars Price; and sister, Cindy Orr. She is survived by her four children, Christopher (Julie) McCraine, Steven (Stacey) McCraine, Tammy (Alec) Smith, & Cindy (Danny) Hester; five grandchildren, Christopher (Caitlyn) McCraine, Justin McCraine, Ryan McCraine, Troy (Jessica) Woods, & Jessi Woods; great-grandson, Kason Woods; sister, Pam (Jackie) Vickers; brother-in-law, Steve Orr; and her two beloved canine companions, Elvis & Charlie.
Active pallbearers will be Terry McCraine, Wayne McCraine, Christopher McCraine, Justin McCraine, Troy Woods, and Ryan McCraine.
