Margaret Murry Petrey

PETREY, Mrs. Margaret Murry, 86, a resident of Petrey, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Petrey United Methodist Church with Rev. Cliff Cobb officiating. Interment will follow at the Petrey Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Petrey was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Walter Lawrence Petrey; a daughter, Mary Jane Petrey; her parents, William and Clara Murry; and her brothers, Wilson Murry and Marvin Murry. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Kline Jeffcoat; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Neva Petrey; four granddaughters Kimberly (Ryan) Inlow, Allison Jeffcoat, Samantha Petrey, and Chelsea Petrey; three great-granddaughters, Ansley, Amelia and Caroline Inlow; and special caregiver, Ethel Dorsey. Active pallbearers will be Kline Jeffcoat, Ryan Inlow, Logan Bagwell, Bass Dorsey, Phillip Swindle, and Bobby Beasley. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Rolling and Wayne Rolling. In lieu of flowers, the family request that any memorial donations be made to Petrey United Methodist Church, Comfort Care Hospice of Greenville, or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:30 am until service time.
