Margaret Deal Taylor

August 2, 1948 — June 3, 2022

Lapine

Mrs. Margaret Deal Taylor, 73, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away at Baptist Medical Center South on Friday, June 3rd, 2022.

Mrs. Taylor devoted her life to caring for her home and raising her family. She had an energetic and outgoing personality that lent itself well to the early years of her marriage to Captain Donnie G. Taylor as his service with the United States Marine Corps took them all over the country. She was often a force of nature with a strength and independent streak that was to be envied. Mrs. Taylor always took great pride in taking care of her yard and employing an exceptional green thumb in her garden. She was also a great lover of animals and considered a house only a home when it was blessed with pets. Above all, she was the dedicated matriarch of her family and she wore that mantel with enormous pride. Her family was her prized possession and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother throughout her lifetime. They felt the magnitude of her love as well and returned it fiercely. There are no words that could properly express how much she will be missed, but they will cherish all of the memories they made together.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Jack & Martha Mae Dalton Deal. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Donnie G. Taylor; their children, Robert K. (Megan) Taylor and Neoma Taylor; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ruckel (Cody Bryan), Harrison Ruckel, Brandon Taylor, and Jessica Taylor; and great-grandson, Colt Bryan.

A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
