Margie Nell Wallace Bailey

Mrs. Margie Nell Wallace Bailey, 90, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, August, 17, 2019. Funeral services for Mrs. Bailey will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, August 20, at Brantley Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Brantley Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Bailey was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a graduate of Brantley High School. As an avid gardener, she was a long-time member of the Brantley Garden Club, doing her part to keep her beloved town looking beautiful. She was also a faithful and active member of Brantley Baptist Church. She was a well-loved member of her community, and will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Donald Bailey, and her parents, Loangler “Buddy” and Clara Mae Johnson Wallace. She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Waylon (Martha) Bailey and Vance (Carol) Bailey; four granddaughters, Anna (Chris) Mizell, Dr. Allison (Mark) Bailey, Emily (Brad) Kirby, and Claire Harrison; four great-grandchildren, Jake Mizell, Chase Mizell, Reagan Kirby, and Luke Kirby; and four siblings, Qunnie Bailey, Totsie Keaton, Judy Brown, and Paul Wallace.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Brantley Baptist Church or the Brantley Garden Club. They will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 11 AM to 12 PM.
