Marilyn Yvonne Holley Becker, 90, of Charlestown, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully to Heaven on July 4, 2026 in the home of her loving family in Charlestown.
Marilyn was born on March 29, 1936 in Marengo County, Alabama to William Thomas (W.T.) and Inez Holley. She grew up in Thomaston, Alabama and graduated from Marengo County High School in 1953. She went on to train at the Birmingham Baptist Hospital School of Nursing from 1953-1956.
In 1957, she married Kenneth Dale Becker of Woodburn, Indiana. She assisted her husband over the next decades in various Christian ministries in Greenville, South Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Florence, Alabama; Albany, New York; and Jeffersonville, Indiana. Throughout this time, Marilyn raised a family of four children, while also working professionally as a Registered Nurse, specializing in elder care.
Marilyn enjoyed cooking, needle work, reading, singing, and completing puzzles. She always relished spending time with her family. She was known for her warmth, gentility, and keen sense of humor.
From her youth, Marilyn held a steadfast relationship with Jesus Christ her Savior. In her consistent life of faith, she embodied the fear of the Lord, demonstrated deep personal devotion, practiced an active prayer life, and fostered loving relationships in the church.
She is survived by her four children DeLayne Jordan, Jonathan Becker, David Becker and Chad Becker, their spouses, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law, Lois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Carolyn and Patsy.
A memorial service will be held on July 10, at 7 pm, at Charlestown Bible Church, located at 37 Hammond Rd, Charlestown, NH. A second memorial service will be conducted on July 14, at 10 am, at Turners Funeral Home, 360 East 3rd St., Luverne, AL, with a burial to follow at the Holley Family Cemetery in Fullers Crossroads, AL.
Funeral arrangements will be coordinated by Stringer Funeral Home, Inc. in Claremont, NH, and Turners Funeral Home in Luverne, AL.
